BRADENTON, Fla. (Oct. 10, 2012) – WCI Communities has chosen an interior design firm for the first Riverfront Estate single-family model home in Tidewater Preserve, the company’s 373-acre boating community located along a two-mile stretch of the Manatee River.
Builders Design will complete the interior design for the three-bedroom Savannah, one of WCI’s newest – and largest – estate floor plans in Tidewater Preserve. The 3,845-square-foot home offers a modern spin on the traditional split-level floor plan with a staircased entry opening into a larger foyer with dual staircases, one leading down to the main level, the other to the second-floor great room, dining room, kitchen and master suite.
The Savannah offers three full baths, a powder room, breakfast nook and a main-floor flex room that can accommodate a living room, den or fourth bedroom. The floor plan provides ample storage, including a large closet under the foyer, walk-in closets in all bedrooms and an oversized walk-in butler’s pantry with cabinetry. Luxury features include granite countertops and coffered ceilings in select rooms.
The Savannah has 5,626 total square feet, including one- and two-car garages, a ground-floor lanai and second-floor balcony.
Builders Design will create a transitional sophisticated-meets-casual design that plays up the model’s riverfront location, according to Joe Duffus, president of the Maryland-based design firm that also designed The Lodge, Tidewater Preserve’s recreation and gathering center. The Savannah’s neutral palette will be accented with indigo, tangerine and antique gold-leaf metal surfaces. Subtle metallic elements will be repeated in fabrics and furnishings and wall and ceiling treatments, including the master suite’s tray ceiling.
The owner’s retreat will also have an upholstered headboard and a bathroom with dark espresso-hued oversized tile in the shower and a vanity with espresso-toned cabinetry, granite countertop and dual sinks. Sliding glass doors give the room private access to the balcony. The room also has his-and-her walk-in closets.
White painted cabinetry will contrast black ocean granite countertops in the kitchen, which has a free-standing center island/breakfast bar with dual sinks and a dishwasher.
The main level has two guest bedrooms, two full baths, a laundry room and the flex space, which will be shown in the model as a lounge living room with a TV and a wine theme. A sliding glass door opens to the lanai and swimming pool.
The Savannah’s two guestrooms will be designed for children – a middle school girl with a passion for volleyball and a high school boy interested in airplanes and engineering. A mural in her room will feature gold medal Olympians Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh Jennings and a silhouette with two-dimensional balls projecting over a net, said Duffus.
“We’re also creating a very memorable wall treatment in the boy’s room,” he says. “It will be very architectural and play off the tangerine.”
The model is expected to be completed February 2013.
The Savannah, one of three single-family Riverfront Estates recently introduced by WCI at Tidewater Preserve, is base priced from $579,990. Buyers can customize the floor plan by choosing among several available options, which include adding a summer kitchen to the lanai or a 600-square-foot extended patio and lowering countertop heights for the kitchen island.
Tidewater Preserve offers carriage, grand villa and classic single-family homes in neighborhoods overlooking the Manatee River, a 50-acre lagoon, multiple lakes and conservation areas. The homes feature two-car garages, spacious owners’ retreats, gourmet kitchens and 1,721 to 2,718 square feet of living space. Several homes also offer dens and flex rooms designed to fulfill a variety of lifestyle scenarios and appeal to primary, retirement and second-home buyers. Homes are priced from $184,990.
With a location convenient to Gulf of Mexico beaches, Tidewater Preserve features approximately two miles of frontage along the Manatee River. Tidewater Preserve’s Port & Court Club offers canoe and kayak opportunities as well as boat slips, a three-court tennis complex, resident activities and special events. The community’s River Walk provides walking, hiking and jogging opportunities along nature trails and boardwalks skirting the river and several conservation areas.
The 5,012-square-foot Lodge, overlooking the river, was designed as the gathering spot for residents and guests. The building offers a community room, lounge, catering kitchen and fitness center with men’s and women’s locker rooms. Outdoor amenities include a resort-style pool and playground.
