A host of fresh, fall seasonal flavors have cropped up on the Carmel Café & Wine Bar Mod Med menu that is now available at all Tampa Bay restaurant locations.
“Fall offers an outstanding array of fresh produce and seasonal foods. By using these ingredients as inspirations for our newest Mod Med dishes, we have come up with deliciously different ways to enjoy these popular foods,” said Carmel Café Executive Chef Steve Cook.
Among the rich, robust tastes now available are a seasonal flatbread topped with caramelized pears, blue cheese and roasted red peppers.
A warm, poached pear also makes a great new addition to the dessert selection, especially when it is accompanied by vanilla ice cream and covered with a salted caramel sauce.
Exciting new entrees include the Seafood Medley that is swimming with scallops, shrimp, calamari, mussels, olives, roasted red peppers and chorizo, simmered in a saffron broth and served with Israeli couscous. The savory Chicken Madeira features Portobello mushrooms, a blend of parsnips and potatoes and a rich Madeira wine sauce.
Among the small plate options that are ideal for sharing are Stuffed Madeira Dates filled with cream cheese and Serrano ham. There’s also French baked brie served with toasted walnuts, dried cranberries and puff pastry that can be deliciously paired with Carmel Café’s global selection of wines that are available by the glass, in various serving sizes, or by the bottle.
Carmel Cafe & Wine Bar is widely renowned for its Mod Med cuisine which features flavors influenced by the Mediterranean rim countries, as well as its selection of wines from around the world that are offered in three-, six- or nine-ounce pours as well as by the bottle.
Dishes are available in both small and large plate options and pair well the selection of wines and specialty cocktails available from the full service bar.
The MenuPad app developed for Carmel Café enables guests to completely customize their dining experience using tableside iPads to review photos and descriptions of each dish, control the preparation, presentation and pacing of their dining experience and identify the perfect wines to pair with the food.
