(SARASOTA, Fla, October 10, 2012) Manasota SCORE is launching its final 2012 Simple Start workshops for people who are considering starting up or purchasing a business.
The first in the series, Start-Up Basics, is a free introductory session that gives an overview of all the elements of running a successful business, topics covered in greater detail in subsequent workshops. That session will be held Monday, October 22, at 5:30 p.m. on the Argosy University campus at 17th and Honore in Sarasota.
Topic-specific workshops that complete the series are: Business Concepts (Nov. 5), Marketing Plan (Nov. 12), Financial Projections (Nov. 26), and Funding Sources (Dec. 3). Each workshop costs $25, and all are held on Monday evenings at 5:30 p.m. on the Argosy campus.
Attending the full series in sequence is recommended, although registration to any workshop is open. SCORE volunteers serve as workshop presenters, and several volunteer mentors are generally on hand to help answer questions.
Free mentoring by the experienced professionals who serve as SCORE volunteers is offered to anyone wishing to start-up or grow an existing business.
