September 27, 2012 – St. Petersburg, Florida – One Progress Plaza, the tallest commercial building in downtown St. Petersburg, is offering a unique opportunity to secure exclusive building naming rights.
“St. Petersburg has seen impressive growth and improvements over the last few years. Boasting the naming rights for this bustling city landmark represents a tremendous opportunity for a company to instantly increase or create name recognition.” said Darin Kucera, Managing Partner of Kucera Properties at One Progress Plaza.
One Progress Plaza is in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg and stands at 386 feet, making it the tallest building in Pinellas County. The 28-floor class “A” office building has earned the EPA’s Energy Star rating with the help of Hudson Worthington Harr’s company, SunQuest Energy. In addition to Sunquest, other notable tenants include American Express, Raymond James, Merrill Lynch, and Bank of Tampa.
The prestigious naming rights were originally granted to Barnett Bank in 1990 and were most recently held by Bank of America. The privately held property management firm, Kucera Properties, is now offering a 10-year naming rights term for $500,000 annually.
Kucera has named The Clear Agency as its agency of record in the effort for securing the naming partner and handling various advertising opportunities for One Progress Plaza.
“There is no doubt this is a notable building that brings credibility and substance to our great cityscape.” Jenn Greacen, Executive Director for the Clear Agency says, “This is absolutely an achievable mission. We hope to secure a local brand or a company physically residing in our community, but we are, of course, prepared to reach out of market.”
Kucera and The Clear Agency have opened additional advertising opportunities utilizing the property’s assets including the 70-foot sky bridge connecting One Progress Plaza to the parking garage across 2nd Street South. The professional soccer team, The Tampa Bay Rowdies, recently utilized the space for its 6-month outdoor campaign.
