TAMPA – October 10, 2012 — SunView Software Inc., one of the fastest growing providers of IT service management software, today announced the appointment of Brad Pedersen to SunView’s Technical Advisory Board. Pedersen will provide SunView’s executive and technical teams with strategic counsel to further advance the company’s product vision.
Pedersen is currently Vice President and Chief Architect at Citrix Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CTXS). Starting as a product architect in 1989, Pedersen was one of Citrix’s founding employees. Today with more than 7,500 employees and $2.6 billion in annual revenues, Citrix has become one of the most successful enterprise software companies in the world.
Pedersen’s key accomplishments include:
- Holding 31 issued US patents, including several on the design of the Citrix Independent Computing Architecture (ICA) protocol.
- Overseeing the architecture and design of Citrix technology, including ICA, XenApp and XenDesktop.
- Being the first named Citrix Fellow.
- Awarded the TechAmerica Florida Abacus Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009.
Before Citrix, Pedersen was a senior architect at IBM, and prior to that, he worked for Harris Computer Systems as a senior engineer. Pedersen earned his Bachelor of Computer Science degree at the University of Minnesota in 1982.
