Free Educational Seminar presented by CAI West Florida Chapter
Board Members and Homeowners are invited to attend an ASSESSMENTS AND COLLECTIONS COURSE on Thursday, November 8th at the Pine Shores Presbyterian (6135 Crestwood Ave, Sarasota FL 34231).
Course 8:30am to 11:00am
Learn the quickest avenue for an association to obtain its money through its policies in place as well as adopting a collection process. Find out who writes the first collection letter and how to ensure that the association complies with the Fair Collections Act. Also, learn what happens when there is a bank involved or when there is a renter involved. Find out if the association is responsible for mortgage foreclosure if it takes over a foreclosed property.
This is a 1-1/2 hour classroom course conducted by a panel of 4 attorneys including the moderator. The teaching method utilized for this course will consist of a lecture followed by a question and answer session at the end. Handouts will be provided as references for attendees to review.
The West Florida chapter of Community Associations Institute (CAI) sponsors a series of FREE educational programs for Condominium, Co-op and Homeowner Association members. These programs are open to any association board members and condo/home owners. The seminars are free, but seating is limited and participants must pre-register.
