TAMPA, Fla. (October 3, 2012) – Located on Tampa’s busy RiverWalk, adjacent to the Tampa Convention Center, Sail Pavilion will be hosting two exciting events this October – Oktoberfest (October 20) and the Howl-O-Ween Doggie Costume Party (October 28). A favorite gathering spot for locals and visitors alike, Sail Pavilion’s unique 360-degree waterfront bar is a popular option for such special events.
On Saturday, October 20, from 1 to 6 p.m., Sail Pavilion will come alive with the sights, sounds and suds of Oktoberfest featuring their new Beer Garden. Guests can feast on a buffet with German cuisine. The event will also feature live music, craft beers, a Beer University, and entertaining games. There will also be a special dog race – the Running of the Wieners – held on RiverWalk.
On Sunday, October 28, from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m., Sail Pavilion will go to the dogs with the Doggie Howl-O-Ween Costume Party, to benefit the Humane Society of Tampa Bay (HSTB). In this costume contest for dogs of all sizes, prizes will be awarded for the scariest, funniest and most original costumes. The event will include on-site adoptions, information about the new HSTB animal clinic, and doggie items for sale. Four-legged friends will be able to enjoy doggie treats and more.
