|Sarasota, Fla. Oct 1, 2012— Insignia Bank announces that Chairman and CEO, Charles G. Brown, III has been appointed to the American Bankers Association Government Relations Administrative Committee beginning a term that will commence on October 16, 2012.
The GRC Administrative Committee develops recommendations on positions and priorities regarding legislative and regulatory issues that affect the banking industry, and presents them to the ABA. Brown was chosen by the incoming ABA Chairman, Matthew H. Williams. The term lasts one year, with the possibility of an appointment for one additional year. Brown will attend approximately three meetings a year in Washington DC.

Mr. Brown has been representing Florida banking in Washington DC, serving on both the American Bankers Association Community Banker’s Council and the FDIC Advisory Board where he has acted as one of 14 bankers in the United States representing the banking industry.
