TAMPA, FL, (October 1, 2012) Grow Financial, one of the leading Credit Unions in the nation, opened their 19th branch in Downtown Tampa on Thursday, September 27.
The new branch is located at 404 N. Tampa Street, and features an innovative and refreshing alternative to traditional bank lobby designs, a contemporary color scheme, and unique interactive technology showcasing a new virtual money machine. The money machine is an augmented reality, motion reactive video mirror that utilizes a six screen HD video wall. The interaction also uses a touch screen to select the offer and for email submission. Members and non-members are welcome to play the virtual money machine, and have a chance to win $25 toward a checking account, $100 toward an auto loan or $300 toward a mortgage loan.
Grow Financial hosted a Grand Opening event on Thursday, September 27 from 10 a.m. – Noon. During the Grand Opening event, attendees played Tampa’s first virtual money machine, and had the chance to donate the monies won to one of Grow Financial’s three corporate charities including: The American Heart Association of Tampa Bay, Susan G. Komen for The Cure or The Children’s Home of Tampa. Grow Financial raised a total of $2,950 for the three charities combined. Mayor Buckhorn was the first to play the virtual money machine, and he raised $300 for The Children’s Home of Tampa Bay.
In addition to the new downtown branch opening this September, Grow Financial also plans to open new branches in Lakeland and Wesley Chapel, as well as expand to South Carolina in 2013.
