The event will raise much needed funds to support the Wild Bird Learning Center and the ongoing maintenance needs of the center. The event takes place at 1708 Ken Thompson Parkway, Sarasota, FL, at the Save Our Seabirds Center. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for children under 12 years of age. Tickets can be purchased at the door, or in advance by calling (941) 388-3010.
Save Our Seabirds was recently in the news for the release of Sparky, a Red Shouldered Hawk that was brought to the center on September 2, 2011. His wings had been severely burned by a methane gas burner at the local landfill and he suffered severe burns to his beak and feet. After almost a year of rehabilitation, Sparky was able to be released back to the wild, thanks to the efforts of the dedicated team at Save Our Seabirds.
