Partner Vanessa Cohn’s donation to Troop 222 offsets cost for 13 Boy Scouts
A donation from Arnstein & Lehr partner Vanessa Cohn has helped local Boy Scouts attend summer camp. Thirteen scouts from Tampa’s Troop 222 attended Camp Sidney Dew in the Appalachian foothills of northwest Georgia this summer.
The eight-day camp supports the troop’s mission to teach life skills like leadership, first aid, physical fitness, camping, swimming, communication, citizenship, cooking, and more.
Boy Scouts of America Troop 222 scoutmaster Shawn William Brown said, “Every scout is working hard to contribute, and this will help them learn that hard work does pay off in the end.”
Part of the Gulf Ridge Council’s Tocobaga District, Troop 222 serves Port Tampa, Sun Bay South, South Westshore and Fair Oaks Manhattan Manor neighborhoods in Tampa. Scouts in troop 222 have completed 5th grade and are at least 10 years old. More info at www.boyscouting.com.
