SARASOTA, FL – Brothers Dan and Rob Snyder are hosting the 14th Annual Patricia Snyder Golf Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at Laurel Oak Country Club. Since it began in 1999, the tournament has raised more than $130,642 to benefit the Patricia S. Snyder Children’s Fund at Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation, Inc.
Mrs. Snyder was the head nurse of Sarasota Memorial’s adolescent wing. Following her death on August 14, 1997, her sons established the fund—which has paid for medical treatment and specialized equipment for ill children treated at the hospital— in her memory.
“Our mother was a passionate advocate for children, and we wanted to create this fund so that her commitment to children would live on,” said Dan Snyder.
Tournament Gold Sponsors include Badger Bob’s Services Air Conditioning and Appliance and Cool Today. The Target Hole-in-One winner will receive a two-year lease on a 2013 Audi A6 3.0T Premium Plus Supercharged (333 HP) with a $57,000+ MSRP from sponsor Suncoast Audi. Other Hole-in-One prizes include Titleist Pro V1 Balls and a putter, Bushnell Golf GPS and a $250 American Express Gift Card.
Corporate sponsorships are available. The scramble golf tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m., followed by 18 holes of golf and lunch afterwards. Each player pays a $125 fee, which covers the green fees, a cart and lunch. If your organization would like to participate in this worthy cause, please contact Dan Snyder at (941) 650-3216. Your support helps Sarasota Memorial take care of our most fragile patients – our children.
Laurel Oak Country Club is located at 2700 Gary Player Blvd. in Sarasota.
