|MANATEE – A trio of seminars about business marketing, to be held Oct. 19, will kick off a collaboration of the South Manatee Business Coalition, SCORE, and the University of South Florida Sarasota-Bradenton to offer ongoing business education programs to local businesses.
Three business marketing experts will offer their advice during the kick-off, which is 8 to 11:45 a.m. at Selby Auditorium on the USF campus, 8350 N. Tamiami Tr., Sarasota. The three seminars will focus on marketing and sales tips for business growth, internet marketing, and social media for businesses.
“By merging the capabilities of SCORE and USF with SMBC’s digital media platform, we’re offering local businesses a winning combination,” said Gregg Anderson, chair of the SMBC board of directors. “We’re providing unmatched resources and support to help south Manatee County successfully pursue economic prosperity and future growth.”
SCORE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping small businesses start and thrive. The University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee is a local branch of the 11-campus state university and nurtures its undergraduate and master’s degree students to become successful leaders and critical thinkers.
Featured speakers at the Oct. 19 event are Jim Meisenheimer, president of Jim Meisenheimer, Inc.; Anderson, who is president of Digital Image Business Solutions; and Dr. Noel Mark Noel, a professor with USF’s School of Business. “New Media is rapidly changing the way you and your customers do business! Listen to three experts who are keeping up with these changes that will allow you to quickly network into the local business community,“ said Dr. Noel.
Admission is $20 (free to college students with I.D.) and includes light refreshments. Attendees who register online at www.smbusinesscoalition.org before Oct. 17 will be entered into a drawing for a Kindle Fire to be held at the program’s conclusion.
