TAMPA (Jan. 18, 2019)—The Tampa Tiger Bay Club will hold its Third Annual Lifetime Achievement Awards Dinner at 6 p.m. Jan. 29 at the Hilton Tampa Downtown. Tickets are $60 and the event is open to the public.
This year’s honorees are Hillsborough County Clerk of Court & Comptroller Pat Frank, a former legislator and Hillsborough County Democratic icon, and Dee Williams, former president of the Sun City Center Republican Club who is credited with helping grow the Hillsborough County Republican Party into a political force. Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn will introduce Frank.
The keynote speaker will be Katie Sanders, managing editor of PolitiFact, the Pulitzer Prize-winning fact check website owned by the Poynter Institute for Media Studies in St. Petersburg.

Previous recipients of the awards include former Florida Gov. Bob Martinez, former Florida House Speaker Terrell Sessums, former U.S. Rep. Mike Bilirakis and former Florida Education Commissioner Betty Castor.
