Florida Business Interiors and Haworth will discuss how businesses can create engaging spaces to help employees perform at their best
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – (May 17, 2017) –Tampa Bay Innovation Center, an innovation and entrepreneurship center, will hold its June TECH Talk program on Tuesday, June 13 at 8:30 a.m. at Microsoft Headquarters offices, 5426 Bay Center Dr., Suite 700, Tampa.
In a unique combination of insights into office design and workplace behaviors, the June program, “Office Designs that Encourage Engagement: Start with your Culture,” reflects statistics indicating that only 30 percent of workers are engaged in the work they do for their company. In their interactive and practical, how-to program, presenters will share the importance of understanding organizational culture as a springboard to create spaces in which employees love to do their best work.
Presenters are Tom Wilkinson, who is responsible for new business development at Florida Business Interiors, a locally-owned commercial furnishings provider with clients across the United States. The firm believes that well thought-out ideas and well-researched solutions can provide business owners with engaging spaces that encourage their people to do great work, saying that “Great work creates great success.” Wilkinson, who holds undergraduate and MBA degrees and is LEED-accredited, has had a successful career in architectural interior product sales and an adjunct faculty member at several universities.
Wilkinson’s co-presenter is Michael Furnari, territory sales manager with Haworth, a privately-held global leader in the contract furnishings industry. A LEED-accredited professional who is active in design and green building, he brings financial- and research-based insights and perspectives that are backed by sound business practices. Furnari is an expert in workplace strategies and next-generation building concepts who seeks to increase worker engagement while reducing operating expenses.
