PHSC Pharmacy Technician Program Receives Full Accreditation
The Pasco-Hernando State College Pharmacy Technician Certificate program received a full three-year accreditation from the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) and The Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), in March. The PHSC Pharmacy Technician program is designed to prepare students to work as pharmacy technicians in retail and hospital settings under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The limited access program provides students an opportunity to earn a certificate in less than a year when attending full time. Students successfully completing this program are eligible to register with the Florida Board of Pharmacy and sit for the national pharmacy technician certification examination administered by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.
