Proposed Community Garden Program Information Gathering Meeting

St. Petersburg, FL (April 5, 2017) – The City of St. Petersburg is considering the development of a community garden program on city-owned property in appropriate locations within the South St. Petersburg Community Redevelopment Area. One area under consideration is property located just northwest of the Enoch Davis Recreation Center in the 1600 block of 12th Street South. The six parcels under consideration total 35,863 sq. feet or 0.82 acres in size.
The City of St. Petersburg welcomes your participation! The community is invited to share opinions and ideas on the proposal at an Information Gathering meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, April 17, to be held in Module A at the Enoch Davis Recreation Center located at 1111 18th Avenue South. This meeting will help gauge support for a community garden in this location as well as help shape the requirements for any community garden that may be placed there.
