PikMyKid team has been on fire this past month! We are always striving to go above and beyond and continue to provide schools with groundbreaking solutions to their dismissal problems. Here is a glimpse into the exciting progress we have made recently!
We are so honored to announce that our CTO has been showcased in the Florida Hi-Tech Corridor Magazine 2017 as one of Florida’s most prominent Faces of Technology, shaping our community in a real and meaningful manner! You can read more about this here. We’re so proud of you Jonathan!
Recently, we were honored to talk about PikMyKid at the Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library’s Biz Connect event, at the Trep Talks in Entrepreneur Collaboration center in Ybor and also at the Startup Week Tampa. We shared business secrets and all the challenges associated with building an Ed-Tech company with our incredible attendees. Check back in for updates, especially on our Instagram and Twitter.
We have even more exciting news! We have officially partnered with the Tampa Bay Area Regional Transportation Authority (TBARTA) and Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). As a part of this project, TBARTA will subsidize 100% of PikMyKid’s licensing fees for participating schools in the 5 county region. Through this partnership, parents will be able to download the app and speed up pickup and enhance safety of their children at schools with the most acute traffic and safety problems. You can read more about this incredible partnership featured in a national publication ‘Next City’ here.
Recently, two of our pioneering schools, Berkeley Preparatory School and Hillsborough Academy of Math and Science, received the ‘2016 Innovation Leader Award‘ by TampaBay WaVe for adopting PikMyKid and displaying their commitment to child safety and easing the burden on their teachers and parents! In doing so they also invested in their community and helped foster innovation and job growth. A special thanks and congratulations to the leadership team at both schools!
We’re in the process of implementing our first district, Bedford School District, they will start using our system in early summer. We have also signed on our second, third and fourth school district! We’re so happy to announce that Hauppauge Union Free School District, Beaufort School District and Houston Independent School District will start using PikMyKid system next fall.
Please join us in welcoming our new schools into the PikMyKid family:
