Tax Collector Mike Fasano announces that $3,500 was raised to benefit one of the featured charities of the month in February. Restored Hope is a non-profit organization that is based in Dade City and serves residents of East Pasco, in particular those who are homeless, on the verge of being homeless or are otherwise in need of immediate help. The funds were raised through the hard work of the tax collector staff in Dade City, Wesley Chapel and Land O’ Lakes. The generosity of the surrounding communities helped the event become such a great success.
“The team work they showed in raising funds for Restored Hope is a breath of fresh air!” states Penny Morrill, Community Outreach Coordinator of Restored Hope. “Receiving $3500 dollars is such a blessing for our clients that have issues/needs that don’t fit the mold of government funding. With these funds we can help with needs such as helping someone put their belongings in storage or get them out of storage, or a car repair that is needed so they can get to work. Obviously, the team work comes from the leadership of the Tax Collector’s office”
“It was a blessing for our office to support Restored Hope,” states Tax Collector Mike Fasano. “Restored Hope is truly a ‘where the rubber meets the road’ type of organization. They meet people’s needs in a practical way. The funds they collect stay here in Pasco and serve those who could very well be our friends and neighbors. Thank you to all the generous people who took the time to stop by and make a donation to this fine charity.”
