State program now easily accessible for Sarasota residents with hearing loss and speech disabilities
Tallahassee, FL (March 23, 2017) – Florida Telecommunications Relay (FTRI), a not-for-profit distributor of free specialized telephone equipment for Florida residents with hearing loss, has opened a new distribution center in Sarasota at the Suncoast Center for Independent Living located at 3281 17th Street, Sarasota, FL.
FTRI estimates that more than 3 million Floridians experience some degree of hearing loss. At this new distribution center, permanent Florida residents who are certified as having hearing loss or speech disabilities can easily obtain amplified telephones and other telecommunications equipment at no cost.
