During the month of March Kiddy Up Horse Therapy Ranch will be the charitable organization of the month at the Pasco County Tax Collector’s Office. The Kiddy Up Horse Therapy Ranch focuses on a person’s ability, not their disability. The therapy and learning academy includes therapeutic riding, therapeutic driving utilizing the respected Horse Boy Method and related learning programs. Children with disabilities and veterans with disabilities are the two groups of individuals who receive the most services from Kiddy Up Horse Therapy Ranch.
“Kiddy Up Ranch is so excited to be selected as a part of the Tax Collector’s charity fund raiser,” states Tammy Sliger, Executive Director and Founder. “Kiddy Up strives each and every day to make a difference in the lives of the children and veterans we serve. You make this possible by the donations we receive to help keep our program going and our animals cared for. We cannot express enough our gratitude to such a loving community and a tax office that truly cares about its community. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to serve others and to be part of such a wonderful county.”
“The Kiddy Up Horse Therapy Ranch’s reputation for helping individuals of all ages is what first attracted my attention,” states Tax Collector Mike Fasano. “Featuring the organization last year as one of our charitable organizations of the month, and then visiting the ranch itself, impressed me to a great extent. The work they do to help children and veterans with a wide variety of disabilities is absolutely amazing. I encourage anyone who is interested in helping children and members of the veterans’ community to stop by our office and make a donation. All proceeds will directly support the services provided by Kiddy Up Horse Therapy Ranch.”
Funds raised during the month of March will provide for the medical and daily maintenance needs of the equine therapists. Additionally, the dollars raised will help ensure that any disabled veteran who qualifies can receive services at no cost. Finally, any additional funds will be earmarked for the eventual construction of an enclosed arena which will allow services to be provided during inclement weather.
