Tampa, FL – Asiatic Street Food + Noodle Bar has opened in the ground floor retail space in Centro Ybor (formerly Fresh Mouth), offering traditional Thai street food and noodle dishes for lunch and dinner. Matthew Ong, managing partner of Asiatic and the restaurant’s sibling, Thai Thani Channelside, recognized a demand for fast, flavorful and fresh Thai food, similar to what’s served street side in Thailand.
“The name Asiatic Street Food reflects who and what we are to our guests.” said Ong. “We feature fresh entrees characterized for a complex mix of at least three (and up to four or five) taste senses in each dish. This could be sour, salty, bitter, sweet, tangy and/or spicy. This fusion of these flavors creates harmonious and delicious dishes that makes Thai cuisine one of the most popular cuisines in the world.”
Asiatic Street Food + Noodle Bar’s menu consists of both traditional as well as house specialty noodle bowls, authentic curry dishes, along with more commonly known options found on the streets of Thailand, such as Kao Phat, Phat Thai, and Tom Yum Goong. All dishes use the freshest ingredients, are made to order, and are spiced to your taste and liking.
“The kitchen stretches across the main dining area and can be seen from all angles of the restaurant,” said Ong. “This way guests can view the preparation of a meal right before their eyes, just like the streets of Thailand!” Asiatic’s dining area also displays architectural features, design elements, lighting and artwork that acknowledges the culinary contributions of Thailand.
To complement your meal, Asiatic offers guests traditional Thai Tea, soft drinks, regular tea as well as beer and wine selections.
Asiatic Street Food + Noodle is located at 1600 East 8th Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33605, and is open seven days a week. In addition to dining in, Asiatic is available for delivery (through Uber Eats) and takeout.
