SARASOTA/BRADENTON, FL – Goodwill Manasota, whose core mission is to help those with barriers to employment to find work, is partnering with Bailes Consulting Services, which specializes in employment placement services, to expand their collective ability to serve those who are seeking jobs, or wish to retain their jobs.
The partnership began with the goal of serving clients who need Vocational Rehabilitation, a federal-state program that helps people who have physical or mental disabilities get or keep a job. As the concept came into focus, it was decided that there were great benefits in expanding the partnership to provide assistance to all seeking help.
Goodwill offers free career services – including career counseling, interest and aptitude assessments, assistance with resume and cover letter writing skills, interview strengthening exercises and application submission guidance – through its Job Connection program. It also provides employment to individuals with disabilities through its Supported Jobs Plus program, and assists employers who seek qualified candidates to hire. Bailes Consulting Services helps with all facets of job searching and placement, including many of the same services available through Goodwill’s Job Connection program plus school-to-work transition programs for young adults with disabilities, to help prepare them for the workplace.
“Bailes Consulting Services is excited to partner with Goodwill. Our mission is to help individuals find their passion and purpose through employment,” said Jennifer Bailes, CEO of Bailes Consulting Services. “We believe that families and communities are changed for the better through work.”
Goodwill is pleased to find a like-minded partner to strengthen the employment services available to those who are motivated to achieve self-sufficiency, or reach greater heights for the benefit of themselves and their families.
“By partnering with Bailes Consulting Services, Goodwill can expand our reach and enhance our ability to change lives through the power of work,” said Goodwill Manasota vice president Veronica Brandon Miller. “Our services assist individuals with disabilities, people with limited work history, veterans who are transitioning to civilian life, workers who have experienced corporate downsizing, senior citizens who need to re-enter the workforce … we are united in our goal of wanting to help anyone who seeks an opportunity to overcome obstacles to employment and achieve self-sufficiency.”
