Marie Selby Botanical Gardens Presents “Singing In The Gardens” Series
SARASOTA, FL- Sarasota Soprano and Ringling Towers Award Recipient- Stephanie Heidemann, will be leading a unique workshop series “Singing in the Gardens” for four weeks on Tuesdays in February (2/7 – 2/28) at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens (900 S. Palm Avenue Sarasota, FL 34236) from 2-4pm. This is a 2-hour class for singers and closet-singers alike to enjoy the serenity of nature through singing.
This course utilizes breathwork, classical voice technique, body-mind-spirit mindfulness exercises, and games to stir the creative juices, opening new doors of the human experience. Stephanie Heidemann is the Founder of Authentic Voicework , an organization that helps people to unravel and dismantle fear and inhibition, empowering and connecting them to their authentic self through the voice, facilitating steps towards freedom. Heidemann is Ringling Towers Award Fellow (for Performing Arts) and is an artist in residence at the Hermitage Artist Retreat (2013/2016).
