• Join Chef Mark Estee at Vuelo Mexican Grill Jan. 24 for a Four-Course Menu Paired with Premium Azuñia Tequilas

    Tampa, FL (Jan. 12, 2017) – Meet Chef Mark Estee and enjoy a four-course menu specially created to pair perfectly with premium Azuñia tequilas for a one night only tasting event Jan. 24 at Vuelo Mexican Grill.

    Each of the following courses will be served with a specialty cocktail or a neat or over-ice serving of the featured craft tequila:

    • Florida Rock Shrimp Tiradito with Citrus, Chiles and Corn
    • Luis’s Chicken Mole with Crispy Masa Cake and Chicken Chicharrón
    • Carne Asada with Salsa Verde and Smashed Potatoes 
    • Warm Chocolate Cake with Cajeta Caramel Sauce

    The pairing menu will be available 5 – 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 24. Cost is $40 per person in advance and $50 at the door.     As consulting chef for Vuelo Mexican Grill, the James Beard nominated Chef Estee brings his approach to fresh ingredients, authentic flavors and attention to detail to every dish served at the restaurant. Vuelo specializes in hand-crafted Mexican cuisine made from scratch.

    The family-owned restaurant’s cuisine is Classic Mexican with Latin/South American flavors and twists. 

    Azuñia is smooth, clean craft tequila with authentic flavor from the local terroir. It is the exclusive export of Agaveros Unidos de Amatitán and its second-generation, family-owned-and-operated Rancho Miravalle estate, which has created exceptional tequila for nearly 20 years. Made with 100% pure Weber Blue Agave grown in dedicated fields of the Jalisco lowlands, it is harvested by hand and the organic agave is roasted in traditional clay hornos to ensure authenticity and depth of flavor. It is finished with a natural, open-air fermentation process and bottled on-site in small batches using a consistent process to deliver field-to-bottle quality.

    That evening’s festivities will be highlighted with Latin music presented by Tampa’s DJ Domi starting at 5 pm.
