• Avison Young adds another asset to growing Tampa industrial leasing portfolio; EastGroup Properties’ 211,525 square foot Walden Distribution Center I & II

    Newly formed power team of Trey Carswell and Lisa Ross secure new assignment

     

    Tampa, FL — Avison Young announced today that it has been awarded the leasing assignment for EastGroup Properties’ Walden Distribution Center I and II, two class A industrial buildings spanning 211,525 square feet at 2401 Police Center Drive in Plant City, Florida. This new assignment is an expansion of the 1,354,000-square foot portfolio that Trey Carswell, Principal with Avison Young, represents for EastGroup.

     

    “Plant City is at the epicenter of Central Florida’s distribution hub – about 25 miles east of Tampa, immediately west of Lakeland, and 70 miles west of Orlando – and its 5 percent vacancy rate is reflective of the activity along the I-4 corridor,” said Carswell, who will partner on this assignment with Lisa Ross, who recently joined Avison Young as Senior Vice President. “Walden Distribution Center’s one availability – an end unit spanning 32,953 square feet – is positioned for quick lease-up as the area is faced with high demand and a relative lack of available product for users seeking to be in this burgeoning market.”

     

    Built in 1998, Walden Distribution Center features two tilt-wall buildings with 26-foot clear height, dock high, 200-foot depth and rear loading. Located between I-75 and U.S. Route 27 and within three miles of I-4, the most traversed thoroughfares in the region are easily accessible from the building.
