• Fundraiser Ropes In $40,000 For The PHCC Foundation

Pasco-Hernando Community College Foundation and presenting sponsor the Musunuru Family culminated PHCC’s 40th Anniversary Celebration with “The Bash at the Ranch,” on April 13, 2013. Hosts Ted and Avis Phillips of the 4G+1 Ranch opened their beautiful home and ranchland for the exclusive fundraising event that raised $40,000 to benefit PHCC students.

“The foundation’s donors have helped us provide excellence in education for 40 years,” said Katherine Johnson, Ed.D, PHCC president. “We will continue to rely on their ongoing support as well as the generosity of new donors as we move into our next decade of service to Pasco and Hernando counties.”

Donned in “country chic,” guests were supplied with a down home country dinner prepared by 4G Executive Chef Alan Burke. Entertainment throughout the evening included music by Pete Hunt and the Southern Branded Band, casino-style gaming, wine tasting by B-21 Wine and Spirits, a high end silent auction, wine pull and much more.

Major sponsors included Skanska USA Building, SunTrust Bank, Batson-Cook Construction, Tampa Bay Times, Wells Fargo, PHCC’s District Board of Trustees, Delzer, Coulter & Bell, P.A., Burgess Chambers & Associates, Florida Architects, John Dougherty, Nina Vaznelis and A. Patricia Barwick.

Event proceeds will help the foundation to support student programs, instructional resources, staff development and facilities for the college.
